Okay so I accidentally put a best answer on my other question. I have the bumps on the inside and outside of the place where I got my industrial piercing. The bump on the top of my ear is all crusty and it hurts to clean it. The other bump doesn’t hurt to clean but it won’t go away. One bump went away and the other is slowly going away. I have no clue what to do. Could they be keloids? Infections? Should I go see a dermatologist about these bumps or go have a professional piercer look at it first? I’m freaking out. Please help me.

If your ear is crusty you probably have an infection. My ears are very sensitive and they have a hot, itchy, red and crusty reaction after wearing earrings for a couple of hours. It wouldn’t hurt to pop into the place that did your piercing. After care should be part of the service they offer. They will have a lot more experience with all sorts of weird reactions and advise you on the best course of action. One tip – don’t play with or touch the infected area any more than you need to to clean it. And don’t over clean it – both will irritate the skin further and slow down healing. Good luck.
