I mean I have one and love it. So why do people that think they are wrong feel the need to tell people that have them that they are wrong. It is my body and hello it can’t go away now. If they don’t like them, then don’t answer questions on tattoo page or tell me how I can’t go to heaven because I have a tattoo.

They are a personal choice at the end of the day. I personally don’t have one, but I think if tattoos are tasteful, and actually mean something to the person who has them then that person should be allowed to express themselves in that way without prejudice. And I don’t believe in god, but i do know the ten commandments, and funnily enough, no where in there did it say ‘Thou shalt not have tattoos on thy body’. So, ignore everyone else, if you want tattoos, get them, its your body, and your business, no one elses!
well this is a guess, at why they’re answering, i doubt they’re in the tattoo forum, your question is probably showing up on the y/a homepage when you first post it, so it’s catching the eye of someone that doesn’t like tattoos….u know everyones got to put thier 2 cents (or in this case 2 pts) worth in.
i personally dig tattoos, although i don’t have one yet…

I have no idea why people do that, I have a tattoo, I didn’t even know there was a tattoo page…
Who cares what people think, some people spend all their time telling others what they are doing wrong because it makes their pitiful little lives seem more important

I AGREE!!!!!!!! It’s rude and unfair. It’s their opinion and they don’t have to treat people that way. I’ve never heard that you wont to go heaven because you have one, that’s just cruel. I know some very religious people who get tattoos to show what they have been through to find religion. People who don’t like tattoos shouldn’t answer tattoo questions.
Just like when anyone picks on someone else, they do it to get a rise outta you
because they like to make people feel bad for living the way they do, or because there jealous since they cant get a tattoo for themselves
They have no life. They sit in front of a computer all day answering questions on every subject on Yahoo
because they are that bored and pathetic. Honestly, if you like something, cool, if you dont, awesome, dont criticize someone for having different beliefs
They answer them because all new questions come up on the main page!! And they feel that they have to put their Nosy no good two cents in where it is not wanted!!

But I do find it hard to understand why some people get them.

There is one I wouldn’t mind getting myself, but I keep thinking what if I don’t like it.
It bothered me at first as well, but they are only answering questions off of the home page. Yes, it is incredibly annoying when they give opinion/”advice” and have no knowledge regarding the question being asked. Some just can’t help themselves I suppose. I don’t even look at the questions on the home page. If it’s not in a category I’m interested in I don’t bother. Unfortunately, not everyone follows that theory. Just ignore them as they only make themselves look foolish.
That’s a good question. If you don’t like tattoos then why are you here?
To try to pass their views on us and make us comform to their line of thinking.
Aside from the above (and I think the fact that questions show up on the main page is the biggest):
The same who hate them tend to be a little, er, restricted in their worldview. A lot believe the stereotype that those who get them are automatically hard-nosed tough guys – and women – who they’d *never* have the nerve to be so rude to in person. The anonymity of the net grants cojones of steel to even the most pimply faced dweeb living in their parent’s basement, and so they grab this chance to be macho.
That’s one of the reasons I’m as civil as I can be online. It’s too easy to be otherwise.
Addendum: that it shows up on the main page is why they see it. That they answer, well… I think that’s more what the others and myself are addressing.

thats kinda your fault because for every question you post there will always be both good and bad anwers. Opinions of people vary. You have to learn to accept that we aren’t all robots that think the same.. Im fine with people having tatoos..
