I want to get a forearm tattoo of a heart (actual heart, not valentines day), but i’m confused whether to get the heart facing me or facing other people. i’ve seen people with forearm tattoos both ways, but what way looks best?

Well my forearm is covered but the writing of it faces others. The tattoo on my wrist however faces me. I got my wrist done first. On the forearm I thought it may look a bit weird if it were facing me which is why I got it facing the other way. It depends what it is I guess. A heart would look better facing others.

this is what I’ve always been told, and not just for tattoos but rings as well… towards you is ‘considered’ that you are selfish lol and facing others shows you are a selfless person… WHO CARES?
I say facing others ONLY B/C in my opinion it looks better…. BUT you do you, regardless of what others think! & GOOD LUCK!
Theres not one certain way to get it or one way that people prefer. Yea, its sweet for other people to see your tattoo, but if you want to have it face you, go for it! Maybe its something that you want to see everyday, but not upside down. Its just a personal prefreance to your own desires.
I have tattoos on both of my inner forearms, about an inch or so below the wrists. I have them facing me, because they are personal. I got them for me, not for other people. They are also words, so I want to be able to read them myself.
It would be best if it would be facing other people especially if its a tattoo that mean something to you and you want to convey a message.
