As for the pain of this tattoo, it wasn't terrible- I would imagine that some places are better, still. I found that it hurt worse on the right side, and that the center of the chest is pretty painful. You will also feel some pain in your arms, probably your left, from the nerves that run through your chest. It is pretty interesting. If you try not to focus on the pain: closing your eyes and thinking about the end goal, or think about things you have to do later on help make it not hurt so much. As for your recovery- depending on how long the initial session was, you can expect to be sore like someone punched you for 2 weeks, and it will only get worse before it gets better. The second session will be much easier, if you have one, with recovery being only a week and a half for myself. Make sure to follow your artists aftercare instructions!
