Im getting my first tattoo, and I cant decide between my arm or my upper left chest. I kind of want the tattoo on my chest, but im not really sure. Either way, ill be up for the pain, but I was wondering if there was anything you could relate to the pain of getting a tattoo on your chest to, mainly because iv heard its pretty bad haha.

The first guy is exaggerating a bit. Yes, it will definitely hurt, but it probably will just feel like how you’d imagine it. Just imagine scraping a needle in that area after you get a bad sunburn.
imagine a hot razor slicing thourough your skin and your ribs/chest area feeling like theyre being grinded down with a sander.. lol.
its not too bad but def doesnt feel good! thats all i can think of to describe it though.
good luck!
I have an anatomical heart in the center of my chest, and partly on my neck, it was a combined effort of 5 1/2 hours of tattooing, plus a 2 hours “finishing touches” session.
As for the pain of this tattoo, it wasn’t terrible- I would imagine that some places are better, still. I found that it hurt worse on the right side, and that the center of the chest is pretty painful.
You will also feel some pain in your arms, probably your left, from the nerves that run through your chest. It is pretty interesting.
If you try not to focus on the pain: closing your eyes and thinking about the end goal, or think about things you have to do later on help make it not hurt so much.
As for your recovery- depending on how long the initial session was, you can expect to be sore like someone punched you for 2 weeks, and it will only get worse before it gets better. The second session will be much easier, if you have one, with recovery being only a week and a half for myself.
