When I see other people with tattoos, I see someone who is creative and willing to live a little. Too many people view tattoos as undesirable and being only on criminals, bikers, or drug users. But when I see a person with tattoos, I don’t make those assumptions. I just think they like the art.
I have several tattoos. I am a married woman who worked as an account coordinator for a Fortune 500 company. I have never been arrested, I am not a drug user or a drinker. I am a lady, with or without my tattoos.
NUNCA ME GUSTARON LOS TATUAJES=MUCHACHO=(BOY)ME PARECE QUE AFEAMOS AL CUERPO HUMANO=LASTIMANDO SU PIELSUERTE Y SIRVA
If you have a lot of tattoos like my boyfriend and me then people tend to stare sometimes. Although, we get a lot of compliments believe it or not…from young and old. Its a artistic thing, we both love art and choose to not have the same ole skin as everyone else. There is nothing wrong with having tattoos and I hate when people call it trashy or trampy because we are both classy and dress nice and look nice. Tattoos don;t make people bad or mean and I know that there are people who ruin if for others. I work in AR & billing for special huge accounts for a Nation soon to world wide Corporate reprographics comapny. It has not hurt my job in anyway and I think its becoming more acceptable.
jizzmaster lol ur name says it all, tatts on girls, classy not trashy, obviously not as much as winehouse, but few in areas u hav 2 find is fun, but if u don’t appreciate body art, done well, Ur loss
my opinion – people with tattoos are not afraid to express themselves. all of my tattoo have deep meaning to them and tell a story.
It means that you are an individual and want to express your uniqueness. Besides, everyone else is doing it.
When I see one, screaming look at me. I wonder why everyone gets upset about a pimple, which is temporary and does the same thing.
Tattoos have become so mainstream now; people from all walks of life, education & income levels have them. I have several – discreet and tasteful and each one means something to me. If you’re thinking about getting one, take your time and choose a design that reflects your personality. Remember, they are forever; well, there’s lasers, but why get one only to get it lasered off? And if someone judges me negatively because I have body art, that’s not someone I want to know anyway.
it depends on what the picture is. and it depends if they like tattoos at all.
If you have tattoos, it means you like tattoos!
Other people draw all kinds of conclusions from viewing my tattoos. Hopefully they can be objective and realize I’m a regular person who loves tattoos.
no i hate tattoos my mom got one a she regrets it now so if you were going to get one i suggest you do not you might regret it
It means that you’re a person that likes tattoos.
jizzmaster, you’re NOT answering the question and you’re rude.. i think it’s a way of putting a little bit of your personality on yourself, even though most people won’t understand it, i think it’s a beautiful way of exposing art, between the artists skill and your idea. but many people interpret you having a tattoo quite bad. like women being tramp stamps,, i mean generally being hardcore and trashy. ok having something rude or openly gross on your body might but a little extreme, but then, who are we people to judge other’s choices?! most tattoos have a very intimate meaning to the person that bears it, not often understandable, but it deserves to be respected.
Well, I don’t think you put tattoo on your body because it is suppose to mean anything to the other people, but to you – you are the one who choose what will be on your skin for the rest of your life.. But it can be a symbol as well – it can mean that you belong to some social group, like a sign of recognizing each other no meter where you are. Some animals, plants or symbols are having defined meaning, and if you are aware of the meaning than your choice can tell your story. In some cultures you have the ritual of tattooing to symbolize that you are married, or your position in “tribe” or even to protect you and bring you good luck. In any way tattoo can tell the story of person wearing it – the choice of tattoo is usually the way you see yourself.
it doesn’t really mean anything.
unless you get the tattoo for a reason. like to honor a loved
one or something.
then it is sentimental.
or it could mean that they are an artistic person,, anything really
the possibilities are endless.
My tattoo’s shouldn’t mean anything to anyone else other than me. I do have people give me a hard time about them and tell me I will regret it but I just look right back at them and tell them they should really mind their own business because their opinion is not valid to me its my body and I can do what I want. Ive had people tell me that it isn’t attractive but then again I’m not out to impress them….or anyone else.
I love body art some of the art is compleatly incredible. Its yours a work of art nobody can ever take from you you may loose everything but your art is yours forever.to take with you whereever you go. there is a stereotype but now a days but where isn’t there one.I have some large pieces and when some people see them they look like ohh hes bad news quite the opposite,Im as gental as a lamb I just love the pieces and am proud to display my artists unbelievable talent. Just remember its for life so choose wisely. You dont want to be standing at the pearly gates with demons, skulls, spiders and F.T.W tattoos on your body.
That means that the person who got tattoos on his body love to get tattood….:-)
Some Stereotype it and say it makes them look hardcore but i think personally. Artists express there feelings on paper.. but other prefer to get it tattoo so it will always be there. Well ones that get name tattoos is usually someone that means alot or meant alot to them.. like a wife.. a past family member etc.. My cousin has a tattoo bcoz a past of a family member that he always wants to remember and that he wanted to keep his memory which wanted it tattoo on him to express how much he meant to him.
you’d have to ask the other people who see them, that question!
Tattoos on chicks = Tramp Stamp.
EDIT: I didn’t coin that term. That’s what it’s called. Google the phrase, you’ll get a few hundred thousand hits.
Don’t kill the messenger.
to me it means trashy a little (mainly on girls). BUT some tattoos are in good taste, just not most of them. i do like some on guys (either the upper arm or back) but nothin much!
I think tattoos are trashy, especially on women. (Tramp Stamps) Amy Winehouse looks trashy enough, but those tattoos really bring it out in her. The mother and daughters on “Pit bulls and Parolees” are doing a marvelous job taking care of those poor animals, but their tattoos ruin everything. The daughters in their natural state would be lovely, but those tattoos make them look so trashy.
Someone mentioned tattoos attract attention like a pimple. I agree. Hogwash to it being artistic. To have one pained on, particularly while of middle age shows juvenile thinking. Grow up. If thinking of getting another, give that money toward keeping delinquents off the street.
Coming from the old school, I prefer to live without permanently changing what God has given me. However, if I were to wear one, it would be the image of the person I most love, or a symble of my strong patriatism. A definite “NO” to snakes, dragons, knives, guns, obscenities. A definite “YES” to messages of high moral character and thoughtfulness.
I’ve got 4 tattoos, plan on getting more and i don’t give a crap what other ppl think about them! I’m me and I’m living my life!
^-^
Personally I think it is a beautiful form of expression and if thats where you want to put your art, so be it!
