I’m getting a tattoo as a rememberance of my ex boyfriend. I posted a question on here asking where on my body I should get it. Most of the responses I received were bitter retorts about how stupid it is to get a permanent reminder of a past relationship. My response is: The relationship did not work out for us but I still hold him dear to my heart. I am planning to get artwork that is significant to me but not obviously about an ex. My past is an important part of the person I am today. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? Thanks!

Well as long as you don’t have any bad feelings towards him and it’s not his name, then go for it. I understand why you want one though, some people leave a lasting impression on us and make us who we are.
If you’re going to get it done, I say get something symbolic of the time that the two of you spent together, Say if you had a fond memory of time at the beach, a tattoo with splintered sea glass might fit. Something like that.
What will you next boyfriend think? That you still love your ex? I would not do that.
If its what you want, then go for it. Dont let us tell you what to do. As long as it doesn’t remind you of any bad times.
That is pretty psycho. I feel bad for who ever dates you next.
Personally I think it’s still not the best idea, BUT that’s why I’m me and not you, so on that note, I’d keep it SMALL just in case one day you should want to cover it up, and places hmm…well depending on ‘what’ the tattoo is of, without knowing it’s kind of hard to suggest a place. If it’s decent and nice, behind your ear could be good. I wouldn’t suggest anywhere below the belt line if ya get my drift because I’m sure any future boyfriends wouldn’t appreciate you having a personal tat like that in a place that’s ya..other than that, maybe on the back of the ankle, OH the toe would be a cool place to get something…if your really risky try the bottom of your foot, this way it’s kind of hidden but you know it’s there..
