I’m 16, and want to pierce my ears. Is the age of consent 16 or 18. I’m planning on doing it in Berkeley CA, are there any SANITARY places i can do it without consent of 18?

I heard that there is a new law the does not allow anyone under 18 to get a tattoo or piercing even with there parents consent becuase it is considered a form of abuse is this true?

I am a senior in high school, and I know that when I get out of here, I want to become a professional body piercer. I am not very artistic, so I don’t think I could do the whole tattoo thing, but I like piercings. If anyone knows of any apprenticeship oppurtunities in Maine, generally in or around Portland, let me know PLEASE!! thank you

Is There A Way To Lessen The Pain Of Getting A Tattoo?

I am planning to get a tattoo, and I asked both my parents (Whom both have tattoos) and my dad said there is nothing the tattoo artists do to lessen the pain. Though my mom said that the tattoo parlor she went to gave you laughing gas if you thought you couldn’t handle the pain. Do some tattoo parlors actually does this? Or did she lie?

Is there anyway for me to test my pain tolerance in certain areas compared to others? I am getting my first tattoo very soon and I want to know which place of my choice is the best area.
Is there any way I could find out? Any tips?
