Okay so I accidentally put a best answer on my other question. I have the bumps on the inside and outside of the place where I got my industrial piercing. The bump on the top of my ear is all crusty and it hurts to clean it. The other bump doesn’t hurt to clean but it won’t go away. One bump went away and the other is slowly going away. I have no clue what to do. Could they be keloids? Infections? Should I go see a dermatologist about these bumps or go have a professional piercer look at it first? I’m freaking out. Please help me.

I had my belly button pierced for 7 months, it came down to an infection so i went to the doc and they prescribed this ointment. It was working great it took the infection away so as i was taking a shower a few weeks ago i noticed that my belly button ring was being held by a litle piece of skin (dead skin) which it wont hold it for long i immediatly took it out..
i researched online and it said that my body rejected it therefore my skin LITTERALLY pushed it out… i was planning on getting it repierced..
it is now closed and left a nasty scar..
i miss my piercing and i want to cover that scar so i want to get it redone…
THE QUESTION IS:
what are the chances of that happening again?

Hey! So I got my nose piercing done on my right side last July, and I think it’s about time that I finally change it. So I got it done with a gun, and I know..I shouldn’t have. But I didn’t know at the time. Anyways, I bought 4 nose studs yesterday; one is 14kt gold, and the other 3 are surgical steel. I know the one that’s gold is probably the safest, but it also doesn’t have any sort of “back”. And it’s not L-shaped or hooked, and it was the only gold one they had. However, the surgical steel ones have balls at the end so I guess that rids the chance of it falling out.
So my question is that: Should I go ahead wear the 14 kt gold one with no back? Or should I wear the surgical steel one with balls at the end? Which one will be safer?
