I am going to Miami this weekend and want to get my belly button pierced before I go. Is it safe to get it pierced and get into the water on South Beach? What are the risk of catching an infection? How long does it take to heal? What about a pool with chlorine? Is that safe?

im thinking of getting my belly button pierced but my belly button is not an innie its like, an innie-outie. can i still get a piercing??
oh and i want the ones on the top of the belly button not inside or on the bottom.
im not afraid of the pain or anything i just want one!

Okay, I got my belly button pierced a few months ago. I kept putting tea tree oil on it and it was doing fine, then i changed the ring and the skin inbetween the bar turned a purple-ish colour. The skin inbetween has also gotten smaller, which i believe is ‘migrating’.
Now it’s gotten a bit darker and looks bruised.
Is the skin dead? I can’t really feel anything when i touch it… I’m still currently putting tea tree oil on it… What am I meant to do about this? Any help would be appreciated.
