I got my rook pierced about 2 weeks ago, other than that i only have my lobes and cartilage done. I’ve always considered myself to have a low pain threshhold but this piercing really was ok. It’s always going to hurt but the pain really is momentary. The cleaning is the most painfull part for about 3/4 days. It hurt when i was actually cleaning it, and it felt like ear ache for about 30 minutes after. The rest of hte day it was fine though as long as i didn’t hit it and now it doesn’t hurt at all only if i accidently roll over when sleeping. Hope that answers your question.

I’m getting my rook pierced in a month, and I was wondering how bad it hurts. I have 4 lobes in my right ear, 5 in my left, 2 more cartilidge in my left, industrial, tragus in left and right, nose, belly button,and i used to have my hips. I think the most painful one was my industrial because I almost passed out. Do you think that the rook will hurt after all my other piercings I have?

I got my rook done a month or so ago and it was the most painful piercing to date. It hurt for like 3 days. It’s kinda awkward to clean. And it hurts like a bitch when I accidentally roll over at night.

I also have two holes in my lobes (no big), tragus (piercing wasn’t bad but healing was a pain) I’ve had my helix done twice and the web under my tongue (awkward but nearly painless)

Thinking about doing my nipples next once I can sleep on my left side again (aka after the rook heals)

Thoughts on which is more painful cartilage or nipples??

I just got my rook done today, and it was *so much* less painful than my industrial. I have rook, tragus, helix, industrial, lobes, nostril, nipples and VCH, and out of all of those, the industrial hurt the most.

I got my rook done a couple days ago and it did not hurt. Hurt less than my helix. 0.5 on a scale of 10

if you can get a horizantal industrial and you handled the pain well, i am sure the rook will be nothing to you..good luck
