Piercing Questions

Piercing Question…?

2 Comments 25 January 2010

Yes, I am asking this question twice, wasn’t sure which category to put it in. I have had my belly button pierced before and now I have alot, well maybe not alot, but some scar tissue, and I want to get it pierced again…how much would that hurt? I know how piercing feel but I don’t know how they feel going through scar tissue.

Getting a piercing through scar tissue is actually pretty painful. I’ve had my earlobes done 4 times at like Claire’s and crap like that until i got them professionally done at a real studio. When the piercer went through the scar tissue, it hurt more than regular skin. And bled significantly more as well. If you`re going to repierce it, I would definitely say it is possible because I`ve had piercings through scar tissue but it`ll hurt more. If you can, try and get your piercer to pierce it behind the scar tissue. That might also help deter migration

I had my belly button pierced just the once a couple of years ago. It has since closed up and I wouldn’t get it pierced again. That’s just me though.
I would say that’s it going to be a lot more painful getting it re pierced as it is going to be through scar tissue which may be tougher than the previous skin.
    Hope this helps :)
