Ok, so my piercing is about 7 months old, and it seems fully healed. I mean no crusties, it moves freely and it doesn’t hurt anymore. Is it ok to take it out and change it now? I was told to wait 9 months to a year for it to fully heal…

Yes you should be good though that doesnt mean your piercing wont get irritated if you try something you shouldnt. What I do to make sure jewelry goes in and out without any problems is soak my ear in hot water for a few minutes so the jewelry slides extra easily. I tried putting a custom bent barbell in my ear and the piercer bent it stupidly so it was at a weird angle and my piercing got pissed off when it was almost healed before I tried this new jewelry. Took a month for my ear to calm down again (of course I threw out the custom bar). So watch out for anything that would be really different in your ear, other than that, changing jewelry should be perfectly fine.
i changed mine all the time before the year was up and i had no problem. i just made sure that the bar was clean. but its hard to find full colored bar it took me forever to find a black one and now i’m on a search for a white. good luck.
yep its fine, i changed mine way earlier.
When they tell you it will take 9 months to a year for it to fully heal, that doesn’t mean don’t change it for that length of time!
Just make sure that whatever your changing it to is made of something thats ok for new piercings =]
I think you are pretty safe to take it out!
