I got my tongue pierced around 8 months ago and it’s been fine, no problems. But lately my tongue has been quite sore. The bottom bead has been occasionally rubbing against my bottom teeth (which my be my own fault) and the bottom hold of the piercing is also quite sore. To move it around sometimes hurts.
It’s not infected, I don’t think, but is it possible that something’s stuck in there (gross, but it happens)? I looked and didn’t see anything, though.

Go to the shop you got your piercing at and let them have a look at it. Any good piercer encourages visits by clients who have concerns. They’ll have the tools to get a full view of the inside of your piercing and be able to determine what is causing the soreness.
