i usually recommend to clients to try a rubber band. some people dont have gloves or pliers but a rubber band is much like a rubber jar opener. most of the time this does the trick.

Try having someone else take it off for you. it might see weird to ask someone else to help with that but really it is easier if someone else does it cuz they can actually see what there doing.

if it's your first piercing then thats because the piercer puts your stud on extra tight 2 make sure it doesnt come off, so you have to go back to your piercer to have them take it off for you, the other studs/rings after that are always easy 2 come off

omg! i have the same piercing
and sometimes i have that problem when i wear the ball and plus my bar is really short so its hard
so what i do is put rubber gloves on and the rubber grips on better to the metal , its soo much easier
and to unscrew it , you have to roll the ball to your right.
go try it :)

Try using pliers or find someone who has them. Or use something with the material similar to a mouse pad or something like that, it will help you get a grip on the ball.
If you go to the studio where you got it pierced, they will probably do it for you free of charge (although you should tip them).
I don't know how long you have had it pierced, but just want you to know you should wait until it is healed to change the jewelry.
