I have multiple piercings and while normally putting antibiotic cream on a piercing is a bad idea in this case you would probably be ok. I’ve done it on my cartilage piercings before with no problem. What I would suggest is to keep doing your sea salt soaks 3 times a day and then at night before you go to bed clean it really well, soak it and then put some of the ointment on and cover it with a band aid, you’re body does most of it’s healing at night. The next morning, very carefully remove the band aid and clean all the cream off, after a few nights you should be good to go. If after a week, it’s not completely healed or if it gets worse see a Dr ASAP, your infection is more severe than you can deal with and you’ll most likely need oral antibiotics. Whatever you do, do NOT removing the piercing, otherwise you’ll trap the infection inside your body.
