I do not want to get the tattoo to cover up a scar, just the area i want to get a tattoo has a few light scars.

yes you can get them over a scar without any problems. i have two of mine done over scars and there have been no problems. i have had them for 2-3 years now. it is a good way to cover them up
It Willl be fine but it could bleed out and you prob wil have to go and get it redone every now and then!

yea it is. on one episode of LA ink there was this guy who had burns adn scars on his arm or something adn he got it done, adn it looked great
You can get one, but it may look a little disfigured. Tattooing scar tissue isn’t difficult, but again it won’t take the scar away.

You can, my artist has tattoos over scars, Scar tissue can sometimes be hard to tattoo because it doesnt take the ink as well, just make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing and you shouldnt have any problems

I have a tattoo that goes partially over one of my scars and i never had a problem with it.
It didnt hurt more or less than any of my other tattoos I have.
On a scar. As you know scars expand as you grow. Had my birthmark removed at a young age. The scar grew on my arm above my elbow, grew as I grew in size, muscle, fat, didnt matter. You can get a tattoo over it just fine. But if you gain weight or muscle it will be affected.
