I was thinking of getting my nose pierced over the summer — that way it would have like three months to heal properly. Once school comes around, would I be able to take out my piercing during the school day and put it back in later that night? Or would it close? Please help! Thanks.

When I was in school below the collegiate level, we had 7 hour days. I’ve had my nose pierced for a year and a half now and I don’t think I’d want to go 7 hours without jewelry in it. I just know that my body closes up fast and I cannot go more than an hour or so without my facial piercings before it’s going to be a pain to get them back in.
Just wait until you don’t have to deal with the problem of school getting in the way.
I’ve had mine done for 4 years and it will still start to close if I leave it out for more than an hour… I don’t think it’d last. Why not just wait until you graduate?

Do you happen to go to a private school???..and yes you could get it done over the summer…and just wear something on weekends during school..Maybe, someday you will be able to go to a regular school….My opinion and i am over 40…I think nose piercings the little ones are sooo cute!!! I actually like the little diamonds on the sides of noses!!! Very stylish!!! Hell with people that do not like them.!!! ha!!!
it depends on how long you leave it out. what you should do is take it out for school then throught school go into the bathroom and put the nose ring back in so it won’t shut.
piercings other than in the lobe of the ear tend to heal quicker.
nose piercings are hidicious…just don’t get it piereced, it solves ur problem!
that seems like a waste, taking it out every day, i would just wait until you’re out of school
This probably isn’t what you want to hear, but wait until you’re out of school to get your nose pierced. Then you can do whatever you want.
But if you really just can’t wait, just know that once you remove the piercing, the hole will remain for awhile, but it will close eventually. You could probably could wear your piercing on the weekends to keep it from growing together, then take it out during the week when you have to go to school, but it might irritate the area of the piercing to keep taking it out and putting it in like that.
make sure its in for at LEAST 8 weeks
it wouldnt close but make sure every once in a while you put the earing in.
my sister got her nose pierced, but piercings aren’t allowed at her job. she puts a stud with a teeny ball; it’s so small, it’s almost invisible. i think she also tried fishing line. they make little inserts for just your problem. just make sure you clean the site and whatever you put in it every time you adjust it so you don’t get infected.

Why would your school not allow it? I’ve had my nose pierced since I was 15, and I’m 20 now. You can take it out during the 6 or so hours you’re in school and put it back in later, but you might feel it close up just a little bit. I still don’t know why your school wouldn’t allow it, I think the ones who should decide that is you and your parents, who you by law have to have them there. Don’t do it at home!!!

If you allow it to fully heal it will not close up during the school day.
I had to take my piercings out for work then could get them back in after.
You can always get a retainer for it, if you can find one.

can anyone tell me how to put fishing line in my nose, like i know how to put it in obviously but the line isnt as big as the normal stuf( for the width) and im worried the hole will shrink. my damn shcool wont let me wear it evn though i said it was my religion he said tuff! guys please helpp mee.
