I have this indention where the tongue ring is laying. Is this suppose to be normal. I have had it done before and I don’t think that it did this. I am just curious if it will go away after it is done healing or what.

It happens sometimes, it’s just the piercing settling. (Provided the barbell is long enough. If it isn’t make sure you get a longer one immediatley)
It will go away with time (sometimes a week, sometimes a couple of months – either way it’s no big deal)
An indentation on your tongue is beyond normal. It may or may not go away. I got my tongue pierced 6 years ago, and still have an indentation from the ball. It is not big deal.
Yup that’s pretty normal happened to me and everyone I knew that had their tongue pierced. You’ll notice it especially in the morning when it’s been sitting in one spot on your tongue all night. If I remember right I think it quit doing that indention thing after awhile, especially after the swelling went down and my tongue went to it’s regular size/width. Also, just make sure that you have a tongue rod that’s long enough to where it isn’t sticking out too far, but also not too small to where it’s squishing your tongue that might help a little too. who knows.
I have my tongue pierced as well and I have an indention where my tongue ring is lying. It’s normal. I used to wonder if I did something wrong, but a friend of mine who has hers pierced as well has that same indention. Don’t worry about it. You’re fine.

Mine has a small indention around it. I have had mine for nearly 7 years and it is perfectly normal. It just depends on the size ring you are wearing and the shape. There really isnt anything to worry about. Just keep up with the hygiene on it

i’ve got a question on a prince albert.
If you just got it done and its swollen then yeah it will be indented where the ball sits until the swelling goes down. I have had my done for 4 years and on the top of my tongue where the ball rests most of the time there is a slight indention because the ball sits there 24/7. if there is pain or discharge go back to who pierced it and they can help you out.
I have a pretty big indent.. and it kindof bothers me? like my bar is long enough, and it doesn’t hurt but, everytime i swallow it sortof hurts.. will it actually go away or..
i had my tongue pierced a week ago tomorrow and now i have a huge indent on the top ball… they say its normal! but my actual tongue is white and very white around the indent! it doesnt hurt but the only ball i can play with is the bottom one! and you see only half of the top ball ! becauseit looks really deep in my tongue the indent feels gross tho! some people say that it can stay throughout your piercing i hope not mine is not pretty!

i just got my tongue pierced on thursday now its still swollen .. i kinda thought it would be.. but its sore as well like trying to swallow its sore and there is also a indentation on the top of my tongue and from reading this i hear thats fine.. so anything i can do to reduce the swelling? and the pain ..
