I pierced my tongue 2 months ago. I really hate needles and i was totally scared but wanted it so bad.. It was 15 min with the piercer.. 14 minutes was talking and recommendations, and it only took her a minute to open the hole! i didnt hurt! it was fast and easy….
However take in count that you have to see and make sure that the piercer uses a new needle and that everything is properly cleaned… make sure you see when the piercer prepares all the stuff to pierce ur tongue!
It is not a bad place … but you better do it after the 3rd so u dont take the risk of ur dad to see it.
Besides, there are some things that u have to take in count..
For the first days it will be really painful, and mostly when u brush ur teeth ,b ut still u gotta do it. Clean it properly with sea salt and water…
And also if u dont want people to notice it speak slowly so they understand what u say cuz sometimes it’s really hard to speak with the piercing…
For sure, you willl have a big bar for the first month cuz ur togue is gonna be bigger…. for that month…After that, u gotta change the bar and choose whichever beets u want…
Good Luck aand I hope it helps!<3

Bite your tongue until it falls off.

The procedure for the tongue piercing is as follows…
Generally, most places will have you gargle with antiseptic mouthwash first and then rinse. Your tongue is clamped by a proper piercing clamp. The piercer then uses a special marker to mark off where the hole is to be placed. While the clamp is still on your tongue, the piercer then uses a proper piercing needle to pierce the hole over the marked spot. After that, you rinse your mouth again and you are usually either advised or given the proper rinse and are advised to suck on plenty of ice to keep the swelling down. Most people usually swell up for about a week or so and usually talk kind of funny due to the swelling. With regards to asking if it is worth it or not, that is a question you will have to answer for yourself, do you really want to have it done? Can you handle it? Ususally you have to wait anywhere between 6-8 weeks until you can change the jewelery but that also depends on your personal healing process. As a matter of it being a wise choice, that is another question you’ll have to come up with the answer for because it’s your body. Most places here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada require you to be 18 or with a guardian (who can give written consent) in order to get pierced and or tattooed. There is no guess test you can take, sorry. This is simply a matter of your own personal pain tolerance however, the tongue is the most painless part of the body to have pierced.

well first, it takes four weeks for your tongue to heal completely…you have to get the long barbell incase you swell so it’ll clank against your teeth for awhile…if you have court id advise you to wait a lil while longer to get it….o and all they do is clamp it and shove the needle through..it doesnt hurt just eat ice after you get it

Your swelling will go down in approx. 3 days until then your speech will be impaired. I would not advise piercing your tongue because of the dangers of hitting an artery that run through your tongue and you will most likely chip or even break teeth from your stud. i work in a dental office and i have actually seen the bone around your front lower teeth wear away from the constant banging from your stud. Hope this helps, but if you really want to pierce your tongue make sure your piercer has formal training, or go with another body part that is easy to hide.

if you are worried about your dad seeing it wait till after court..the reason for this is cuz you will noticeably talk funny (trust me)..you can only get pierced with the long bar with silver balls at first because of the swelling..and there is really no test to give yourself to compare ..It really doesn’t hurt…they usually have you relax then tell you to breath in deep and let it out ,at the same time sicking the needle through..the thing i found most annoying was the first week of healing..just take 3 motrin if the swelling gets to hard to deal with…get daring and try the snake bite hehehehe i did
IT IS WELL WORTH IT .!!!!!!
    good luck and have fun
