Apart from keeping it away from from direct sunlight, how much effect would exposure to normal daylight effect the tattoo over a few years, as opposed to covering with clothing (i’m thinking how paintings can fade even when not in direct sunlight). Can UV lighing in nightclubs etc damage them as it would under a sunbed? Also, would using moisuriser on the arm daily have an effect? Any other suggestions?

the people that make tattoo goo have a color revitalizer or something out, look up tattoo goo on the internet and you should be able to find it.
dont listen to kaledonioi. i listened to him and my tattoo now sucks bigtime!! he wrecked it by telling me to put cream on it. just let it heal natural. cream will peel the scab. let it all come loose on its own and the colour will stay.
your tattoo will fade no matter what you do so it’s a good idea to spend a bit more after say 10 yrs getting it reinked.Cream is good when your on show but from my experiance it wont stop it from fading.Just get your artist to reink it every few years its worth it for life.
dont worry bout it, u can get it topped in a few years wen it starts to faid, cant live ur life worryn bout a tat.
the main thing that dulls tattoo’s is dead skin build up. so exfoliate weekly and moisturise every time you have a shower or bath. make sure you tat is healed completely before exfoliating.
moisterize it everyday, use shea butter. it will keep it vibrant and colorful, and help the fading.
no matter what you do a tattoo will fade as the skin comes away(peels) and will need re colouring after a long period of time.my has taken 10 years to fade and needs redoing but hurt so much the first time..lol.it is quite large tribal and base of back.xx
I had my tattoo done 10yrs ago. Every day, I have applied Oil of Olay (was Ulay) and the colour is as good as the day I had it done.
The inks that are used these days are a lot better than they used to be so it should look good for many years without specific treatment.
if it`s new get a product called tattoo goo it will help it look good.
keep it in the freezer…lol

Hi,it is good to be applied babyoil after taking your shower every day in other to look gorgeous and keep away from sunlight bcos of body itching could cause another problem.
