  1. du nomad says:

No one under 18 can legally get a tattoo in California, even with parental consent.

  2. JC says:

“653. Every person who tattoos or offers to tattoo a person under
the age of 18 years is guilty of a misdemeanor.
As used in this section, to “tattoo” means to insert pigment under
the surface of the skin of a human being, by pricking with a needle
or otherwise, so as to produce an indelible mark or figure visible
    through the skin.
This section is not intended to apply to any act of a licensed
practitioner of the healing arts performed in the course of his practice.”
So by the way this reads, even with parental consent, it is not legal to give a minor a tattoo.

the law is the law. But i think that if a kid is under the age of 18 i think that they should not try to sue the tattoo place for having ink possning and ect.if a child under 18 wants to get a tattoo i think that they should be able to. but they also should realize the things that can happen.
