Okay, I’ve wanted a lip piercing for quite a while now and I’ve almost made the decision to just go for it, but I have one question. When the ring is removed, how noticeable is the hole? Is it as noticeable as an ear piercing? Is it as big? I’m sure while it is healing it will be red and all, but what about afterwords?

It looks like a tiny little crater, it’s not noticeable unless you’re looking for it. It’s not red at all, it’s flesh colored.
its more noticeable than an ear piercing (Standard) because the jewellery it is pierced with it bigger, so therefore the hole is.
but, its not stupidly noticeable, like you cant see through it into your mouth or anything
Its around the size of an earlobe piercing
And i would say its noticeable close up, but not so much from far away
First few weeks it will be more noticable as it goes red, but you cant take it out for 6 weeks anyway so it doesnt really matter!

it’s not really noticeable, but i’d be really, really sure i wanted one first & weigh up the pros and cons. you can only get a stud for the first few months and if you remove it, it hurts like hell to put back in once the skin’s healing over. i used to have to take mine out at the start of the day because of school. i’d put it back in at the end of the day and the skin would have already started to heal over. that was after about two and a half months. when you do take it out and it heals over, there’s like, a little lump inside your mouth that’s really, really awkward. i’m not sure if this was just mine or a common problem, but it definitely wasn’t worth all of the fuss.
