I am getting my first tattoo on my lower back but it will be off to the side and not over my spine, I have read a lot of conflicting information about if it would hurt more than other places. On a scale of 1 to 10 how much would it hurt?

Here’s a tattoo pain chart:http://users.zoominternet.net/~rayvin/Do…
This is an individual thing, and no one can tell you how it will feel for you.
But all that matters is that you relax as much as possible, and hold still. Then your artist will do the best that they can, and then if you do the best possible aftercare, then your image will turn out great, and it will be worth whatever you went through to get it.
luck~
It honestly depends on your personal pain tolerance. For instance, I have a very high pain tolerance so to me I would rate it at maybe a 3 with 10 being the most painful. However, I have friends who don’t have a very high pain tolerance and they would rate it at an 8.
The trick is to decide if it is worth it to you regardless of the possible pain. If it is worth it to you then go for it! Just keep your mouth relaxed….lips and all…and your hands…and the rest of your body will remain relaxed. Slow deep breathing and concentrate on remaining relaxed and this will ease some of the pain you might feel. When you tense up, it hurts.
Good luck!
It really depends on how far off they go and your pain tolerance. When I got my lower back tatt the further down and further to the side they went it hurt just a bit more. But not too bad.. its like…(to me) a 6. But again.. it depends on how well you can tolerate pain. And besides, after a while. the area begings to feel numb.
Everyone is different…..but I didn’t even feel mine….But I had already had 7 hours done on my leg so I was a little more prepared for it….I would say (for me) it was a 2. But I think for most (depends though) it would be more of a 5/6.
You go numb after about ten minutes or so….and I’m sure you can do it!
honey, really it depends on you! i am the complete opposite what i hear most people say hurts the worst. everyone one is sensitive in different places. the back is of of the worst places for me just because i can’t see it being done. but that’s just me.
