I only know of one person who got an infection with proper care, and she was a diabetic, with poor circulation to her legs. The tattoo finally healed up, but she saw a doctor and was perscribed antibiotics.

Maybe it’s the location.
Some places are harder to maintain and more prone to infection.

My latest and 3rd tattoo got infected. It is on my ankle. The heat got to it. All my other tats healed fine.

I have 27 tattoos — never an infection, never even any scabbing.

I had a tattoo get infected. The guy that did it gouged me way too deep, and it took almost 5 months to heal. The spots where he went too deep did not retain the color, so now my tat is blotchy.

possibly location of the tattoo or the shop that did it was not as sterile as you thought good luck if anything go get some antibiotics
