I know that you shouldn’t exercise for 2 weeks after getting a tattoo, but is it okay to have normal sex (nothing extreme) from the day you get a tattoo?

I have a handful of tats and my artist never even told me not to exercise. I’ve never heard of that before. Unless you are like doing something to compromise the integrity of the tattoo, I don’t see why you can’t go at it like bunnies. Don’t like take lube and start rubbing it into your tat or anything, use common sense.
LOL!! When I got my tattoo I worked and worked and even swam in the lake. I just wrapped up my arms in plastic and waterproof tape so that sweat and water wouldn’t get in to the tattoo and make it become infected. my tattoo is GORGEOUS and it never itched or anything…plus I had sex the night I got it because I owed it to my boyfriend because he spent the $250 to get the tattoo.
Seriously, don’t be so over dramatic…its a tattoo. if you got a semi bag burn on your arm I don’t think you’d really care about having sex or waiting, you’d rather be taking care of it but still doing what you like.
don’t worry about it, just protect the tattoo and keep it clean.

Seriously, just think about what you would be doing. As long as you aren’t rubbing that arm to where it hurts, you’re probably “okay” to have sex.
Just find a position that works for ya!

That day is fine…I went every two weeks for 4 months to finish a sleeve on my arm. I had some sex in the meantime and everything turned out fine. Just don’t be rolling on it because it’s more of a painful thing for you to deal with and it may not heal right or scar.
my advice to you is put some Aquafor on there and go to town it shouldn’t affect it just don’t put weight on it so as perverse as this may be: be on the bottom and keep that arm out of the mix and have a good time and use Protection
dude i got my ribcage tattooed and i had sex a few hours later! Although it hurt to move in normal everyday activities, the sex was GREAT. You can go have sex right now! DO it, it’ll take your mind off the pain
u can’t exercise bc u sweat a lot which makes ur skin push the ink out w/ sweat, so unless u sweat like a pig on ur forearms (which i’ve never met 1 person who sweats on forearms from sex b4) then u’re fine to have sex.

You just should try to limit the sweating for two weeks after a tattoo. Make her do all the work……no sweating on your part then!!
Well if you get her name wrong on the tattoo, the sex problem goes away.
