I’m thinking about getting a lemon tattoo on my foot. I’m worried that it will make my skin look sallow. Does anyone else have any experience with mostly yellow tattoos?

I can tell you that the tattoo being on your foot is what will make it look like doodie in a few years. I have ink on my hands that needs to be touched up every 3 or 4 years due to using my hands and the skin regenerating so quickly. You foot will be even worse what with being in shoes and socks and having constant friction on the tattoo. The back ground on my right upper sleeve is mostly yellow and has faded on the outside of my arm due to sun exposure. It is about 5 years old now and the quality of ink these days is far better, so I’m sure that a quality ink such as “Intense Inks” should be quite sufficient.
Really depends on you, what is your skin color etc.
I have a yellow tattoo and with my skin color it doesn’t show up, as I tan well and it was a waste of money. But in the winter if you look hard you may see the yellow in the tattoo. Have to look close tho.
i have a friend with yellow in a tattoo. He had to get his re-done But after that it looked great. Yellow is one of those colors that need to be done more then once to stay and look how you want it to. Its b/c its a light color. As for fading that depends on how it heals and how much sun it gets. Lot of things to consider. I think you should talk further more with a tattoo artist. They lots of experience with color and returning customers.
According to my tattoer and my experience with some ink that is as old as 20 yrs, yellow and orange fade the fastest with red being a close third.
However, I do have a sparrow with some yellow on the wings that has stayed remarkably well. It’s in the 20 yr range.
cant help I’ve neva gotten 1
