Go to a big city too they tend to have the best stuff from what I've seen. Any artist you turn down will not have hurt feelings - after all, they are professionals. Don't be afraid to visit 3 or more shops in your quest for the perfect artist. Then, I would ask to see some photos of their work (most of them have that type of stuff out, readily available, without you even having to ask). Also, if you know someone who has tats that are of good quality, ask them where they got them done. For that matter, you could ask a total stranger. Most people won't have a problem if you are complimenting them on their art and ask them where they got it done. Good luck.
