So i know that a piercing gun is bad for your cartilage because it will shatter it, but professionals here that have the needle have too big of a needle; they use the same one that they would use for your navel. so what should i do? ones too big and causes more infections while the other can shatter it all.
next question is where’s the best place to get it on your ear? top, outer side, 2nd piercing on lobe, or tragus?
thanks!

piercing is bad but if done professionally you will avoid infections. the only safe place on your ear to pierce is the earlobe.
Navel piercings are not that large. The needle used to pierce them isn’t that large, and it being thicker is not going to cause more problems because it is still a sterile needle. If you don’t like the size of the jewelry, you can always downsize (put thinner jewelery in) once your piercing has healed.
Best place is where ever you want it. It’s up to you, but lobe piercings are the fastest healing.
you should get your cartilage pierced with the same size needle as a navel, a little smaller won’t hurt, but the bigger the size has nothing to do with infection risks. a 16g piercing still looks small and feminine in the ear too. don’t worry about infection with the needle, though. and don’t even consider the gun, pleassssse
i know that the tragus hurts a lot…not quite sure what you mean about outer side, the top is cute. i like the look of a snug or a lower conch.
it won’t shatter it a swear to God. my mom and I bought one from sally’s and she pierced it at 3:45 in the morning. It couldn’t have gone any better just use the gun.
i got my cartilage pierced using a gun and yeah it is bad. lol it took almost a year for it to completely heal and my ear looked funny ahaa
Request a smaller needle, they should have one. if not go somewhere else. and any of those places work, just depends where you want it. But top and outer side hurt like hell
ouch
