quick question! does it hurt really bad? and do most people heal normally? also, when they pierce it, can they do it with one of those hanging ones, or do they have to pierce it with a barbell?

It hurts just like any other piercings does lol, but it goes by pretty fast so try not to worry about it. And it depends on whether you take care of it the right way for it to heal normally. But what was cool about mine was the ball on top didn’t screw on like normal ones it actually had the little ridges on it and it screwed into the tube/bar part. The piercer said it was better because it harbors less bacteria then the normal ones and the metal doesn’t have nickle in it either which they said is suppose to be better? lol
But it is healing better than my 1st one which is because i got the real proper ways to care for it unlike the 1st time i got it done. So taking care of it is a major role you have to do or it will get infected. It’s not like the piercings in your ears.
Also it takes a year for it to fully heal! But after 4 to 5 months you can change the ring. So even though it feels and looks good by that time it still isn’t fully healed on the inside so be careful.
Yes it hurts. It hurt so much to me that I squeezed the table I was laying on. It hurts more then ear piercings. The clamp didn’t hurt at all for me.
When you get it pierced you usually get a barbell, just two balls with the bar. Or you could get it pierced with a ring/hoop. But a barbell is much better.
When I got mine done I had the option of having a plain barbell or one with fake diamonds on the balls. That one was $5 more though, but I got it.
Belly piercing are nice, but they get infected easily. So clean it a lot. And if puss starts coming out, then clean it with hydrogen peroxide for a couple days and it should make everything go away.
If your skin start to become thin like a week after getting pierce, don’t worry. You piercing will not look as good as when you first got it, after it’s healed. I noticed that my skin covering the bar became less and less during healing, but then it stopped and is staying at a certain amount.
And they usually take a year to fully heal, but you can change it before that.
Oh, and don’t get any belly rings that are heavy or the dangle is heavy, because then it will hang down too much and show a lot of the bar. Personally I don’t think that looks good. Go with plastic ones, or ones that the only metal is the bar. Anyways, I just changed mine and it’s been 10 weeks since I got it pierced.
It doesn’t hurt that bad at all. And yes most people heal normally. And no, it has to be a barbell. If you get a hanging one and then its gets caught on something its gonna hurt like hell. Its already going to be SOO sore to even tough for the first few months. Just wait until it heals then you can change it.
(It takes up to 9 months to heal)
It really doesn’t hurt all that bad. Just don’t watch them pierce you, and it will go fast. Most people heal normally as long as they take care of it. You will have to consult your body piercing place, and they will tell you what the offer as far as barbells go. Usually they will put a hoop like ring in, it is easier to take care of.. Good Luck!
it doesnt hurt at all…its just like a little sting…
it heals pretty easy as long as you keep it clean..if you sleep on your stomach tho it could take a little longer to heal…
they use a barbell…they wont put a dangly one in when its first pierced…
it hurts, they made my cousin bite her clothes while doing it…. it took her 2 weeks to heal completly and they have to pierce it with the barbell.

for me it hurt…not really the piercing much but the clamp..they have to clamp it so tight that i thought taht part was teh worst…but overall it’s NOT terrible lol
