I know you said you don’t want people to tell you not to do it but if you want to keep it without any problems then seriously don’t do it, the guidelines are there for a reason! You shouldn’t change it for at least another month! However it won’t close right away as in within 2 minutes, but you don’t want to be leaving it without anything in! If you really really must change the ring so soon then boil some water and immerse the new ring in the boiled water for at least 5 minutes, wash your hands thoroughly then undo your current ring, remove the ring from your belly button and put to one side, remove the new ring from the boiled water and put straight into the hole!! Good luck =]

no it won’t close right away.
within the first week i had mine pierced i was playing with the ball on the captive ring and the ball popped right out, and i couldn’t get it back in so i had to buy a barbell and change it.
just make sure you have the new ring ready to put in as soon as you take the original one out and maybe have a mirror because sometimes its an awkward angle to try to get it in without a mirror, or someone to screw the ball in for you
also, get a bottle of bactine spray from the drugstore because its easier to change it if its wet, and the spray prevents infection

no it wont close over too quickly.
maybe if you leave it out for like an hour but not too fast.
i got mine in june and changed it in august pain free.
    but it was scary.
just be sure to relax and it should go over smoothly.

depends. if it is infected …then yes. if not then no. However it can get infected after you switch it.

no, its not going to close in the 30 seconds it takes you to change the ring
