hi i was wondering why there’s more controversy of doing a home made anti brow piercing than there is of lets say a lip piercing at home? i just need someone to tell me the difference between getting a surface piercing and just going all the way through. like is it more dangerous or something??? oh and im also considering doing my septum by myself because those ones are easy to hide and they go with me face shape so yes can anyone give me any tips or answer my question. oh and please dont tell me to go to a professional because ive already made up my mind to it by myself because me mom would KILL me. ha. oh and if ur wondering how im going to hide an anti brow, band aids are the answer

Septum’s are not very easy piercings to do at home neither are anti-eyebrows if you have never done them before. You have to take into consideration all of the equipment you will need.
I know you told us not to tell you to go to the professionals but in this situation I think it would be best.
You talk about your mom killing you about them, what if she finds out you have them and that you did them yourself I think that she would flip even more. You have to think of all of the risk of doing it yourself, you can defiantly screw up big time, and have a nasty scar or an infection. Would your mom not wonder why you have a band-aid on your face?
Surface piercings are not more dangerous, maybe if done by yourself yes. Surface piercings have a high rejection rate and if not done the right way can really screw up your face.
surface piercings have a higher chance to reject and if you dont do it right then it might ripe your skin which is not a good thing
Okay, stop right now. Surface piercings have a much higher rejection rate than standard piercings, and MUST be performed by a professional. They also can’t take standard jewellery, and must have special staple-shaped bar or bio-friendly plastic threaded through the hole. I could go into the different techniques of piercing (dermal punching or traditional, claps or freehand), but if you want to get a rejection scar from a surface piercing, go a head and do it at home with a sewing needle. Your body will get more angry with you than your Mom could possibly imagine. Have you considered depth, gauge, metal allergy, pain tolerance, placement, and severing facial nerves? I suggest waiting til your old enough to go to a professional, and responsible enough to weigh up the consequences and realise that self-piercing is a very silly and dangerous idea. Grow up, move out of home, and then revisit the idea of a septum or anti-brow.
i have a kit + do my own and other peoples piercings all the time, iv done septum, it’s not to hard, ive also done surface piercings there easy as, so dont listen to people who say you HAVE to go to a professional
no offense but you’re kind of stupid if your 1)your mom doesnt want you going to one and 2)you won’t go to a professional. you’re going to end up getting hurt. when i was 15 i tried to hide my monroe and it took forever to heal and was ridiculously swollen- just do to a professional. for your face’s sake.
