<description>Having peircings myself, i&#039;ve found the best adjunct to healing is regular bathing in mild soapy water and or saline washes. Gently rotate and clean the entire peircing without removing it. More damge and delayed healing will occur if you remove the piercing and try to re insert it before its fully healed.
A babies skin is highly sensitive, and the use of peroxide or alcohol is more harmful then beneficial in healing. Ofcourse the peroxide and alcohol may be useful in killing any bacteria on the skin surface, but will also kill off new, granulating tissue which is essential in healing.
Good Luck!
