so yea i pierced my ear and my mom doesnt kno about it.
well i got it done yesterday and i just cleaned it with salt water.
and its red around the piercing. is that normal of does that mean its infected?

It is normal since you just had it done yesterday.
Don’t worry yet.
Just keep up with the salt water, don’t touch it if your hands aren’t clean, and try not to sleep on it, get it caught in your hair, etc.
If the redness doesn’t go away after a week or so then you should go into a piercing shop and have them look at it.
But for now it doesn’t sound like anything too serious.
AND DO NOT CLEAN IT WITH ALCOHOL
It’s normal to be red and sore because it’s a fresh piercing. What kind of salt are you using? You’re only supposed to use sea salt, not table salt to clean piercings. Did you get any piercing solution from your piercer? Definitely use that. And I agree with that other person, NEVER clean piercings with rubbing alcohol or peroxide.
