do not take it out, it will close up in like a hour. best thing to do is to keep it in ( maybe change it to a smaller better metal stud ). you say when you wake up its sore, make sure you are not sleeping on it, also they can easily fall out in your sleep so you would want to put some tape over it.
if the piercing is red, that shows that your white blood cells are trying to fight off bacteria so you should help your white blood cells by washing it.you should wash it really well about 3 times a day. you can wash it with salt water as that promotes healing and makes a scab. when you get a scab there do not try to get it off as this is the body's way of cloting the blood and closing the hole so you wont get an infection. you could also use surgical spirit (diluted) , which you could easily buy from any pharmacy.
you would know that it is infected because there would be puss there. so you should try some diluted antiseptic ( i use TCP on my piercings) .
hope i helped

I had mine done a few weeks ago and it was sore for a few days, make sure you clean it and you must have a gold stud in or you will have problems.

If you take it out, it could close up in a few minutes, so don't. Just leave it. It might have bled if you caught it in the night. Clean it as you've been told to and other than that just leave it alone so it can heal. It's not infected.
